ARTIST PORTFOLIO AND SERVICES

Portraiture/Headshots/

My portrait photography is deeply influenced by my street photography. I aim for dramatic lighting and compositions and achieve insightful representations of the personalities of the people I am photographing. Contemplative, candid, and spontaneous captures define my street photography and color or tone the moments I put onto paper.

Events

As a part of the art community, showing at various venues around New Mexico, my family and I regularly attend and exhibit at art events. It is not unusual to spot me peeking around corners and observing the flow of people, moving in and out of the space. I spend much of my time contemplating effective angles, apertures, and focal lengths to create the appearance of the feelings of the show.

Street Photography

Street Photography is typically described as being the photographic documentation of candid moments in daily life in public. However, it is not restricted by these parameters and should not be. A simple jaunt down the labyrinth of YouTube and you will quickly find artists like Alex Webb, Sean Tucker, Garth Danks, and Andrew Shaller. Each one possesses their own style and subject matter. Trent Parker, and Henri Bresson focused their lenses on the intricacies of light and once in a life time moments. My projects often prioritize composition and contemporary associations with space, where I am. I don’t aim to shock, or satirize, but rather to tell an interesting story about the place the subject appears.
